THE READ LIBRARY PROJECT – MORE THAN 10,000 READING BOOKS  DISTRIBUTED ACROSS KENYAN SCHOOLS

The Read Library Project was conceptualised as a way for children to overcome the  challenges they faced during the COVID pandemic. Since 2020 we have  distributed more than 10,000 story books to 25 schools  across Kenya encouraging schools to introduce a culture of reading and open libraries on their premises.

PLANTING TREES – A SYMBOL OF HOPE

Each school that has received books has been encouraged to plant a tree on their premises.

The areas in which reading books have been distributed include Kwale county, Makueni County, Kiringiya County, Kibera, Dagoretti, Tassia, Mathare, Dandora, Kerugoya and Mukuru slums.

The following Schools have received Books with support from the READ Library Project and other partners.
